Improved shade between Earth and Sun would use an asteroid for mass to hold it against solar wind

Scientists at the University of Hawaii are doing more work on developing a shade to be placed between the Earth and the Sun. Prior efforts did not effectively account for the effect of solar wind tending to blow the shade toward the Earth. They propose that a large weight, such as a captured asteroid, be placed closer to the Sun with a long tether holding the shade closer to the Earth.
